Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 June 2026

1. Acceptance

Slantkoll is a self-hosted personal finance tool. You can run your own instance. These terms cover the instance I run at slantkoll.se. Use it and you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use it.

2. What Slantkoll is

Slantkoll gives you a read-only overview of your own money: balances, categorized transactions, net worth over time. It's an informational tool. It's not a bank, not a payment service, and not financial, tax, or investment advice. You self-host it. I run the instance at slantkoll.se myself, on a small scale.

3. Bank connections

Bank data comes through Enable Banking, a licensed account information service provider regulated under PSD2. You log in at your bank and approve the access. It's read-only and time-limited, and you can revoke it any time by removing the connection in Slantkoll or in your bank. Only connect accounts you own or are allowed to access.

4. Fair use

Don't misuse Slantkoll. Don't try to reach data that isn't yours, don't interfere with how it runs, and don't use it to break the law.

5. "As is"

Slantkoll comes "as is" and "as available", with no warranties. I can't promise it's always up, bug-free, or that the numbers are complete or correct. Check important figures against your bank.

6. Liability

As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damage, or for any decision you make based on what Slantkoll shows you.

7. Data and privacy

How I handle your data is in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

8. Stopping and deletion

You can stop using Slantkoll and delete your connections or account whenever you want, which deletes the data. I may suspend or end access if these terms are broken.

9. Changes

I may change Slantkoll and these terms. If something material changes, I'll move the "Last updated" date above. Keep using it after a change and you accept it.

10. Governing law

Swedish law governs these terms, and disputes go to the Swedish courts, except where mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
